The Role
As a Cloud Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building and operating the backend systems that power our AI Orchestration Platform. You will join a team of senior and mid-level engineers working in an agile, lean environment where ideas are exchanged freely and decisions are made close to the code.
You will contribute hands-on to product development, collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product and operations, and help us continuously raise the bar on quality, reliability and developer experience.
What You’ll Do ...
Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js, with front-end contributions in React where needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new capabilities and internal tools for the platform.
Build, deploy and operate containerised workloads on Kubernetes, with a strong ownership mindset from commit to production.
Participate in code reviews, share knowledge openly and provide constructive feedback to your peers.
Troubleshoot production issues, investigate defects and drive them to root cause and resolution.
Continuously improve our development processes, tooling and automation to increase productivity and quality.
Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, and bring fresh ideas into the team.
What We’re Looking For...
Education & Experience
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Up to 5 years of hands-on experience in software development and DevOps.
Core Skills
Comfortable working in Linux environments and confident with the command line.
Strong command of at least one backend programming language, and a willingness to learn others.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, reverse proxies).
Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
