About the role
What you’ll be doing
Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers across multiple environments
Plan and execute OS upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
Operate and improve configuration and orchestration tools (e.g. Foreman / Orcharhino)
Troubleshoot production issues across systems, services and integrations
Support and operate RabbitMQ-based messaging platforms
Support and operate SQL
Maintain and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting
Contribute to automation of repetitive operational tasks
Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer who enjoys operational responsibility and continuous improvement. You will feel comfortable working across Linux, Kubernetes, Windows infrastructure, and cloud-native tooling, and you take pride in building robust and well-documented systems.
You will bring experience from an Operations, Infrastructure, or DevOps background—ideally within a telecoms or service provider environment—and be motivated by solving complex problems, improving reliability, and reducing operational toil through automation.
This role suits someone who is structured, analytical, and calm under pressure, with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset.
Key skills and experience
Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration in production environments
(packaging, patching, logs, performance, troubleshooting)Solid experience with Windows Server operations, including:
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, certificatesProven experience in server lifecycle management:
OS upgrades
Patch management
System hardening
Decommissioning
Experience with configuration/orchestration tools, such as:
Foreman, Orcharhino, or similarPractical experience operating RabbitMQ (or similar messaging systems):
(queues, clustering, troubleshooting, performance)Practical experience operating databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL
Experience with DNS management (internal and external) and certificate automation (ACME, Let’s Encrypt)
Familiarity with backup and restore solutions such as Veeam and TSM
Experience with monitoring and observability tools:
(Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic or similar)Understanding of network fundamentals, load balancing, and service troubleshooting
Nice to have
Exposure to Kubernetes or container platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps tooling
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
