About the role

At Dstny, we are the largest European-based cloud communications software provider, delivering Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) and Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) solutions to Service Providers across the globe. Our mission is simple: connect people and enable better ways of working.

Due to continued growth and expansion of our installation base, we are looking for an Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to join our team in Portugal. This is a hands-on operational role where you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud platforms.

You will work closely with experienced engineers across Infrastructure, Platform, and Development teams, helping to operate and continuously improve our production environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of operations, automation, and modern cloud technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer who enjoys operational responsibility and continuous improvement. You will feel comfortable working across Linux, Kubernetes, Windows infrastructure, and cloud-native tooling, and you take pride in building robust and well-documented systems.

You will bring experience from an Operations, Infrastructure, or DevOps background—ideally within a telecoms or service provider environment—and be motivated by solving complex problems, improving reliability, and reducing operational toil through automation.

This role suits someone who is structured, analytical, and calm under pressure, with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, migrations, and monitoring

  • Solid experience with Linux systems (server management, patching, logs, troubleshooting)

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure, including AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and certificate bindings

  • Experience with DNS management (internal and external) and certificate automation (ACME, Let’s Encrypt)

  • Familiarity with backup and restore solutions such as Veeam and TSM

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic

  • Exposure to databases and messaging systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ

  • Understanding of network fundamentals, web proxies, and load balancing

Ways of working:

  • Experience contributing to automation and CI/CD, scripting, and tooling (e.g. Orcharhino)

  • Ability to create and maintain runbooks, documentation, and operational workflows

  • Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across technical teams

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and continuously looking for ways to improve platform stability and efficiency

At Dstny, we believe that great technology is built by empowered people. In return for your skills and commitment, we offer:

  • The opportunity to work with a highly skilled, international team of engineers

  • Exposure to modern cloud, telecom, and platform technologies at scale

  • A flexible, innovative, and collaborative working environment

  • The chance to learn, grow, and develop your technical expertise

  • A competitive salary and benefits package, aligned with your experience
