We’re looking for a QA Lead to own quality engineering across a portfolio of cloud communications products, spanning UCaaS, CPaaS, AI voice and analytics. You’ll lead a team of automation engineers, define the quality architecture behind every release, and run AI-driven test automation as the standard way of working. 

You will:

  • Own and evolve the R&D Test Strategy: test pyramid, quality gates, tooling standards, maturity model and metrics. 

  • Design shared test architecture: reusable frameworks, component libraries, test data and environment patterns that squads adopt instead of rebuilding. 

  • Define contract and integration testing across products that release on independent cadences, including the release compatibility matrix and the cross-product regression run. 

  • Own end-to-end testing of customer journeys that cross product boundaries, such as provisioning, calling, AI agents, billing and analytics, with shared environments and test data.

  • Lead our AI-assisted QA workflow: story-to-test-plan design before code is written, then automated test generation, validation and reporting. 

  • Use LLMs and agents for test generation, maintenance, deduplication, change-impact test selection and defect triage, with human review as a hard rule. 

  • Build and govern the guardrails: what AI may generate, what must be reviewed, and how generated tests are kept reliable. 

  • Evaluate new tools and frameworks, and decide what to adopt, pilot or reject.

  • Define how we test conversational agents: intent accuracy against golden datasets, multi-turn regression, fallback handling, hallucination and safety checks.

  • Line-manage QA and automation engineers: hiring, onboarding, objectives, feedback, career growth and performance.

We are looking for:

  • 8+ years in test automation, as a hands-on expert who still writes and reviews framework code. 

  • 5+ years leading automation or QA engineers, with proven results in hiring, developing and retaining them. 

  • Proven, practical use of AI in testing: LLM-assisted test design and generation, agentic workflows, MCP-style tool integrations, AI-assisted maintenance and triage.

  • Background in UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS or telecommunications: SIP, WebRTC, RTP media, SBCs

  • Experience designing test architecture for distributed, service-based or cloud-native platforms, not only writing tests inside one. 

  • Test automation frameworks: Playwright and Robot Framework or equivalent, plus API testing with Postman, REST-assured or pytest. 

  • Experience with at least one strong programming language for test engineering (JavaScript, Python, C# or Java). 

  • CI/CD quality gates in GitLab or comparable, trunk-based development, feature flags and progressive delivery experience. 

  • Experience performance tooling such as k6 or JMeter, and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and logging or tracing stacks.
