Dstny – Technical Platform Manager
Hi, I'm Ana Grilo, your Recruiter and we are excited to learn more about you and your unique background.
We are looking for a Technical Platform Manager to take end-to-end product ownership of SmartFlow, Dstny’s AI platform supporting our Voice AI, Digital Assistant, AI Mobility and Intelligence products.
In this role, you will own the platform’s vision, roadmap, priorities, release cycles, operating model and cost structure. You will ensure that SmartFlow provides a scalable and reusable foundation, enabling our AI Product Managers to focus on customer needs and commercial value.
You will also lead SmartFlow’s evolution from an internal technology platform into a packaged AI design studio. This will enable Dstny’s Services organisation to build repeatable, industry-specific AI agents and solutions with minimal dependency on R&D.
This is a product management position rather than a technical delivery, architecture or project management role. You will own the platform’s direction, priorities and commercial trade-offs, working closely with Architecture, R&D, Operations, Product Management and Services teams across Europe.
What You’ll Do
Own the product vision, definition and roadmap for SmartFlow as a reusable AI platform.
Manage and prioritise the platform backlog, balancing strategic objectives, technical debt and non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, scalability, stress testing and developer experience.
Define a clear platform release cycle that is independent from individual AI product and agent releases.
Establish how the platform is operated, deployed and versioned, including the lifecycle of the agents and applications running on SmartFlow.
Develop and manage the SmartFlow cost model, covering LLM usage, real-time transcription, hosting, cost per call and cost per token.
Provide early cost and budget signals to support pricing decisions in a margin-sensitive, volume-driven business.
Identify platform dependencies at the beginning of each AI product plan, ensuring that launches are not delayed by late-discovered platform requirements.
Lead SmartFlow’s evolution into a packaged AI design studio for Dstny’s Services organisation.
Define clear boundaries between platform capabilities, product features and Professional Services execution.
Promote scalable and repeatable solutions rather than one-off integrations or heavily customised implementations.
Collaborate with Architecture, R&D and AI Product Managers to make informed decisions about platform priorities and technical trade-offs.
Translate R&D innovations, including self-learning agents and automated agent retraining, into scalable and product-ready capabilities.
Define and report platform metrics covering reliability, performance, adoption and cost per interaction.
Monitor the AI agent and platform market to support build, buy and partnership decisions.
Who You Are
You have at least five years of experience in Product Management, including two or more years owning technical, platform, API or developer-facing products.
You may also bring relevant experience from engineering, solutions architecture or sales engineering before moving into product management.
You have strong technical fluency in cloud-native environments, microservices architecture, APIs, CI/CD and release management.
You can review technical architectures, understand dependencies and make informed decisions about technical and commercial trade-offs.
You have practical knowledge of LLM and AI agent platforms, including orchestration, tool use, evaluation and human-in-the-loop design.
You understand the main cost drivers associated with AI platforms and can translate usage assumptions into meaningful commercial and pricing inputs.
You have experience turning technical debt and non-functional requirements into a clear, business-prioritised roadmap.
You are commercially minded and comfortable working with unit economics, cost modelling and margin considerations.
You think in systems and reusable layers, with a strong focus on scalability, packaging and repeatability.
You have demonstrated experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and navigating complex, international environments.
You can communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.
You are proficient in English, Dstny’s day-to-day working language.
Nice to Have
Experience in telecommunications, UCaaS or CCaaS.
Knowledge of real-time voice technologies such as SIP, speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
Experience with low-code or no-code solutions, CPaaS, orchestration, developer platforms or integration-heavy products.
Experience enabling Services or partner organisations to build and deliver their own solutions using a shared platform.
Understanding of European data protection, AI regulation and data-sovereignty considerations.
