As a Jr. Network Engineer at Dstny BE, you'll be working within the Delivery team and be responsible for configuring and setting up customer and backbone equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Here are some of the things you'll be doing:
Handling configuration requests from project managers and UC project consultants.
Providing support to technicians on-site facing technical challenges.
Preparing all necessary technical pre-configurations for customer installations.
Acts as the technical consultant in customer‑facing projects, working closely with the Project Manager to deliver the technical scope.
Assisting our field engineers during installations and troubleshooting any technical problems that arise.
Thinking proactively about optimizing and adjusting procedures and processes within the delivery team.
Providing training and coaching to team members within the delivery team.
Creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Ideally, you hold an engineering degree or technical master's, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in IT/ICT or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in IT/ICT is preferred, but we're also open to those looking for their first job challenges!
Fluent oral and written communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
Knowledge of networking, including Layer3, Layer2, Security, Voice and VoIP, and network equipment configuration via CLI.
Experience or knowledge of Meraki, SD-WAN and firewalling is important.
A positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to manage stress.
Great communication skills and a customer-focused, solution-oriented attitude.
The ability to prioritize tasks and keep operations running smoothly.
A passion for automation and basic programming skills in Python/PHP/Bash/... (or at least an interest in learning!).
You'll be working in a small team with three colleagues within the delivery department and have a customer-facing role where customer experience is key.
