Project Overview
We are excited to launch a new strategic initiative, ODOS, which is set to kick off soon. Within this program, we are driving towards a One Dstny Operating System (ODOS) supporting Belgian and European operations and managing the replacement of legacy systems with core technology solutions. ODOS is a company-wide initiative aiming to harmonize our customer journeys, product portfolios, and technology across the Dstny Group.
Position Overview:
You’ll be part of a cross-functional Scrum team composed of both backend and frontend developers, working closely with a Product Owner and participating in daily standups. This integrated team structure ensures that each product iteration seamlessly incorporates both frontend and backend development, reducing the need for complex coordination. As a developer on this team, you’ll gain a solid understanding of each other's work, enabling you to quickly collaborate, resolve issues autonomously, and overcome any challenges that arise.
We are seeking an experienced React Frontend Developer within our Digital Transformation Program, which involves developing a dynamic portal atop an orchestration platform, with the frontend built using our micro-frontend framework, ConnectMe.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop High-Quality Frontend Solutions: Utilize your expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React to build robust, scalable frontend components within a micro-frontend architecture.
Collaborate with Backend Developers: Work closely with backend developers to ensure smooth integration and efficient problem-solving, leveraging your understanding of backend technologies.
Engage in Agile Practices: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to contribute to a cohesive and efficient development process.
Work with Product Owners: Collaborate with Product Owners to align on the "what" and "why" of the development tasks, ensuring that the product meets business goals and user needs.
Coordinate with UX Experts: Interface with UX designers and use tools like Figma to maintain design consistency. Provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements during development.
Contribute to Technical Marketplaces: Experience with technical marketplaces is an advantage, as it will allow you to contribute to the development and enhancement of marketplace features within the platform.
What we're looking for...
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React: Deep understanding and experience with modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React are essential.
Experience with Micro-Frontend Architecture: Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining applications within a micro-frontend framework.
Agile Development Experience: Comfortable working in a cross-functional Scrum team, familiar with Agile methodologies, and committed to iterative development.
Backend Knowledge: Solid understanding of backend technologies to facilitate effective collaboration and troubleshooting.
User-Centered Design Approach: Experience working with UX designers, with the ability to bridge design and implementation, ensuring that the final product aligns with design guidelines.
Technical Marketplace Experience (Advantageous): Experience with technical marketplaces is a plus, allowing you to contribute to the development of marketplace-related features.
Languages: Fluent in English. Dutch and French are a plus.
